The power of the oceans – BBC

In 1992, a freighter hit a storm in the Pacific Ocean sending two containers packed with 29,000 plastic ducks overboard. Dr Iain Stewart tells the story of how the mighty ocean currents sent them on an epic journey to the four corners of the Earth. Fascinating clip taken from the BBC natural history series Earth: The Power of the Planet. 1. @crazysoccerman14 All definitions of life are somewhat arbitrary. Traditionally viruses are not considered alive because they can't self replicate (no DNA), however because they can hijack DNA based cells to replicate they don't need to worry about self-replication. In my mind viruses as a nonDNA based life form have been just as successfull in colonising Earth as bacteria have.
